  2. Reframe our mindset
  3. See challenges as opportunities and mistakes as lessons learned.
  4. Be ready to think flexibly.
Course Agenda
1. Theory: Exploring the Two Types of Mindsets – Fixed and Growth
Charlotte will begin by explaining the concept behind the term “mindset.” She will then introduce the two primary types of mindsets: fixed and growth. All the while, Charlotte will demonstrate how a growth mindset is far more desirable, especially in the workplace.

Duration: 7 minutes
2. Activity: What is the Most Prominent Mindset Within Our Team?
Once everyone understands the types of mindsets at play, they’ll need to determine which is most prominent in the team. Each individual will discuss occasions where they displayed either a fixed or growth mindset, then attempt to establish where the team sits on the fixed / growth continuum.

Duration: 15 minutes
3. Theory: Recognizing and Reframing Our Fixed Mindset
Next, Charlotte will demonstrate how those who wish to switch from a fixed to a growth mindset can do so. This starts with recognizing the fixed mindset. From there, she will explain how to reframe that mindset, change how one sees opportunities and mistakes, and prepare to think more flexibly.

Duration: 9 minutes
4. Activity: How Can We Cultivate a Growth Mindset within Our Team?
Now that the team sees it’s possible to move from one mindset to another, Charlotte will introduce another activity. This time, the group will take turns answering questions focused on how to integrate growth mindset techniques both individually and collectively.

Duration: 20 minutes
5. Theory: Wrapping up the Session
Finally, Charlotte will end the session by going over what the team learned and how it can be used to facilitate a growth mindset in the workplace and enjoy the benefits that mindset offers.

Duration: 2 minutes

Your questions, answered

What does it mean to cultivate a growth mindset?

The concept of a growth mindset revolves around the notion that one's fundamental qualities are not fixed but can be developed through dedication and effort. While individuals may vary greatly in their innate talents, interests, or personalities, everyone has the capacity to evolve and improve through practice and exposure to new experiences.

How do you foster a growth mindset?

Here are a couple of strategies for nurturing a growth mindset:
  • Embrace the belief that you have the ability to learn and evolve.
  • Establish ambitious objectives.
  • Set challenging goals to push yourself beyond your comfort zone, facilitating personal growth.

What are the goals of a growth mindset?

Individuals who adhere to a growth mindset know that abilities and intellect are malleable and can be enhanced through effort and dedication. This perspective motivates us to welcome challenges and seize learning prospects, viewing them as pathways to both achievement and personal growth.

What is the purpose of the growth mindset?

The growth mindset empowers individuals to appreciate the value of their efforts irrespective of the end result. This allows them to better engage with challenges, forge new paths, and make crucial decisions.

What are the key characteristics of a growth mindset?

Here are five key attributes of a growth mindset:
  • Embracing flaws and errors as chances to grow and improve.
  • Understanding setbacks is integral to the journey of learning.
  • Viewing intelligence as a skill that can be cultivated over time.
  • Welcoming challenges and the possibility of failure as opportunities for growth.
  • Being receptive to feedback and using it constructively for self-improvement.

What is included with each Teamioed team course?

Each Teamioed soft skills training session consists of a 45-minute to 1-hour guided learning experience. However, our knowledgeable Teamioed virtual coaches will handle most of the work, so there’s minimal preparation involved. Simply gather the team together and get ready to learn!

Does Teamioed provide coaching tips or resources for managers?

We do! Leaders, managers or team leaders are provided with an in-depth guide covering each team eLearning course. This lets them better understand what we’ll cover in the soft skills training experiences. It also gives them valuable information on how to contribute to the Learning experience and development activities.

Where do I run a team course?

Teamioed’s team eLearning courses have been built to complement your team meetings or to be run as standalone team sessions. You can conduct the experience as an in-person or virtual meeting, as team-based soft skill learning is perfectly suited to any environment. Simply log in, access the session of your choice, and hit “begin.” It’s as easy as that. If you do plan to host your course remotely, just know that you will need to use virtual meeting software (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, Slack, etc.) as Teamioed does not provide its own.

How do I access new Teamioed courses?

New soft skills online courses will be added to your subscription automatically. You can access them through your Teamioed account as soon as they are launched.
